Homeschool Beach Day Update

Here's the clarification on the price details for Homeschool Beach Day. Homeschool Beach Day is on Tuesdays at Fuller's Resort and Campground in Buchanan, MI. Homeschoolers may check in any time and ask for the Homeschool Day price. This year the price is $1.50 per person. That is a great deal! The exception will be the week of 4th of July. Regular rates will apply during this week.

Homeschool Day at the beach

Fuller's Resort and Campground in Buchanan, MI is again offering a day at the beach at a discounted rate to homeschoolers on Tuesdays. I believe the rate will be $1 as it was last year. Ice cream went up a smidge, but I don't know about admission. I'll have to add that when I confirm the cost.

You are welcome to come and stay all day until dark, if you like. There is sand volleyball, a playground, and a lovely, clean shallow entry beach. Boat and inner tube rentals are available too.

Check them out in the web. To get there, take Bakertown Rd. north from US highway 12. There will be a little store on the left where you turn north. Watch for their sign on the left after you pass Front St. on the right.

Community Education News

The Homeschool Hub is sponsoring, once again, The Homeschool Showcase. Again this year, it will be held at Lake Michigan College Bertrand Crossing. The date is May 10 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. There will be several exhibitors there promoting their Community Education classes. Please spread the word and invite all homeschoolers that you know!

We'll be meeting from 2:00-3:30 at Clay Church Firehouse Youth Center on Cleveland Rd. Come, bring a friend, meet a friend, bring a ball or a game and relax!

Homeschool Hangout meets today

Hello friends,

Homeschool Hangout meets today from 2-3:30 p.m. Come for fellowship and fun. Bring a favorite game or some sand toys for the giant sandbox. It should be a lovely day! You are welcome to take some chairs outside if you want to get some sun and watch the kids play in the volleyball court. I don't think the nets are up yet, but that hasn't stopped anyone from having fun out there.

I won't be able to come today, since we have two sick kids. In my absence, please take the Lego's and game box out of the storage room for me please. The red zippered pencil case has name tags in it. Susan has been trained in how to open the dividers, but if she can't come, please ask for help from someone upstairs before attempting to open them yourself. They break if we don't do it right.
